Hi,

I'm getting an error when I started Domino server and HTTP server is shutdown.
The error is observed while starting the HTTP server in the Domino console. What could be the reason for HTTP server throw "unable to bind port 80...." error?

I came to know that, if IIS server is installed on Windows machine, then, this error is seen on a Windows machine.

How about in RH Linux 4.0

Thanks,
Sandy

If you are sure that Apache (or other) server is shutdown after entering -

httpd stop
or
/etc/rc.d/init.d/http stop

The only other thing that I can think of is that you need to be running as superuser to be able to bind to port 80?.

(IM NOT A LINUX EXPERT - this is probably my limit!)
