I plan to call Veritas support tomorrow and I wanted to get some final suggestions to my problem before making the call.

Backup Exec V.8.0 Build 3316 returns a failed job status when attempting to backup a Microsoft Exchange 5.5 SP4 Directory and Information Store.

Unable to attach to \\SERVERNAME\Microsoft Exchange Directory.

My media server operating system is an Advance 2000 Server and my Exchange server is running on an NT Server box SP6a. Im able to see all individual mailboxes, but there are no entries for the directory and Store. I've verified that my Backup Exec Service Account has the appropriate permissions on the exchange and media server. In addition, I've followed all instructions in thread (481-283693) by NickS, which was answered by mot98 (very helpful). Unfortunately, it only solved a previous problem with mailboxes.

I've tried a test backup with another exchange5.5 server on our domain and it returns with no failures and completes successfully. However, this server is using Windows 2000.
Could there be an issue with using BUEX on a Adv2000 server to backup exchange data on an NT Server? As a last resort, I've removed and reinstalled my Exchange agent and all other agents. I plan to post a resolution to this problem as soon as I get one from Veritas. In the meantime, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
