Unable to attach to server - a network connection could not be establi

Running BE 8.5 Rev. 3571. Have several Novell (5.0) and NT servers to backup. All NT server backups run fine when scheduled. I get this message on some Netware volumes but not all of them. When I run the individual volume backup to "run now" they run fine. Only when I schedule the entire server to run at night do I get this message. Any ideas? I'm about to junk this software - has been nothing but problems since day one. TIA
 
If anyone can provide a solution to this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

Veritas claims I must have Support Pack 2a installed for a successful backup, however one Netware 5.1 server with Support Pack 1a does not generate the error message.
