Please please help. One day I de-select a drive within my backup selection, backup exec starts failing since then, it wasn't able to attach to my oracle anymore, I didn't change any password at all. The exact message from the log file in BackUp exec is "Unable to attach to Oracle. Access denied." Please help. Thanks!

Try recreating the exact same job w/o the part that you don't want. Sometimes in backup exec, you have to recreate the job even if it looks like it accepted your changes to the job.
