First, I'm a system dweeb so if you *do* decide to answer this query, please speak very slowly.

We're trying to get our AA to pick up all incoming calls on first ring. Our 2ways reside in Pool 70 and our T1 resides in Pool 890. If the incoming call is local via the 2ways, AA answers perfectly. If the incoming call is via the T1 via 800#(dnis5034-oprtr console), the AA takes 3 rings to pick up.
Any ideas on how to shorten the 3 ring cycle via the 890 pool?
TIA,
Annie

What kind of VM do you have??

One thing is to renumber the console to a different number and then renumber an adjunct to 5034. Then give the adjunct VM coverage. Then assign extension 5034 as an auto-attd, which it sounds like it already is by your post.

To renumber extensions go to with the programming phone..20L or the computer used for administration..

Then press menu
sys program
start or exit
sys renumber
single
extensions
{{enter old extension number...5034}}
enter
console beeps twice
enter new number....5000 maybe..whatever you really want at this point as long as it isn't used
enter
now select adjuncts
press the inspect button..upper right hand corner of the phone
IF you see numbers starting with 7 or 6,you should be good...pick a couple of numbers you see on the screen
Now Press home upper left hand corner
now dial the numbers you wrote down..if you get a busy, most likely you can use them
now press menu..syspreg..start or exit..sys renumber..single..
adjuncts
enter in number you would like to use
enter
enter new number ...5034
enter
press back or exit twice
press extensions
more upper right hand corner
group cover
now you need to find the VM coverage group..it's either 1 or 30
so dial 1
enter
press inspect upper right hand corner
do you see a whole bunch of numbers???? do you see the new console number..most likely if you do then its the vm group..if not back out and try 30.
exit
group cover
1 or 30
enter
enter in 5034

Now it should go to the VM right away. 1 ring. You will need to change the dial 0 options in the VM so when they dial 0 it goes to the new number of the operator...but I need to know what kind of VM you have.

If you assign pool 890 to the voicemail calling group (usually 770) calls should be answered after about 2 rings. I have a quick reference on Merlin Mail setup for Legend on our website which should be very similar to the setup for a Magix system. Take a look and see if it helps you.

You could change the DNIS to 770, or renumber another hunt group to 5034 and overflow it to 770, this will work if you create a voicemail box for that huntgroup that has the COS of 15, or is assigned as an auto-attendant.
