Hi All,

We have new computers with WindowsXP Pro and Macola 7.6. When in Progression Explorer, we cannot rearrange the shortcuts by dragging them around. The only way to arrange the shortcuts is By Name or By Application. In NT, we used to be able to drag a shortcut and put it anywhere else within the shortcut pane. Now we can't. Anyone have a fix for this. We like to put our most used shortcuts at the top of our shortcut lists. We have tried to create the shortcuts in the order we want but they just rearrange to By Application once we close Macola and go back in.

Thanks,
Dave

Are you on 7.6.100 or 7.6.200 ?

On the old progression explorer, you can modify the name of the shortcut & use numbers or letters to put the ones at the top of the list you like. Then arrange by name.

Using PWE, in addition to changing the shortcut name so you can put in a particular order, you can also organize by type of task by creating a tab for each function the user performs. I like this one so the AP person, for example, can document their workflow & transport or export the tab to their backup user when they go on vacation.

Thank you dgilz and MacolaHelp. I am using 7.6.1 right now because we keep hearing conflicting info about the 7.6.2 upgrade. We are using Progression Explorer also but we might jump to using PWE shortly. For now, MacolaHelp's suggestion of putting numbers in the shortcut names and then arranging by name works. Thanks again for the help.

Dave

Dave,

There is no conflict on the 7.6.200 code, even Macola says don't go there! Software Sales, Training, Implementation and Support for Exact Macola, eSynergy, and Crystal Reports
