Unable to activate Inputboxes IE 5.5

Unable to type in any edit- or inputbox provided by web pages and even unable to activate one with mouse (to use copy and then use paste function to enter data) - it is like they don't even exist. Thus you cannot enter any data at all on any web page. Running 2000 advanced server/service pack 2 and ie 5.5. What needs to be done to solve this problem. - Anyone??

I would try reinstalling IE

What are you getting in the event log?

Try the repair tool first.
