Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right board to post this question on, but I'm encountering a problem where I'm now suddenly unable to access any site begining with HTTPS.

I wodered if anyone had come across a solution for this, as I have found a lot of postings on the internet from people who have the same problem, but no solutions. I have tried all the normal things, deleting cookies and temp files, making sure SSL2 and SSL3 etc are enabled. Firewall and virus scanner settings. The only solutions anyone has ever seemed to find is either to restore windows XP to a date before the problem occured (I am using windows 98), or to fix settings in Norton (which I don't have).

This is a sudden problem, and I have always been able to access HTTPS sites before.

If this is the wrong place to post this hopefully someone can tell me where it should go.

Thanks.

This will seem silly, but can cause your problem...
Is the time set correctly on the pc in question?

Out of curiousity, are you using XP SP2? If so, make sure the HTTP SSL service is running. IIRC, that service can have an effect as well.

...I should have said time and DATE. This will leave you outu of sync and unable to hit https sites.
