unable to access my exchange server from outlook

from a workstation I opened up Outlook Xp and got a pop up message "Cannot start the services, you don't have permission to initiate a session" ??? this is happening since this morning I reboot my exchange server (5.5) and still.... any clues.

- I 'm able to ping the server from a worktation...
- Services seems to be up and running....
