Unable to access FTP site

Hello Everyone,

A remote VPN user is unable to access a particular FTP site, after input username and password.The Internet Explorer 6 SP2 screen changes to blank , and all you see is the mouse cursor shaking, and then finally stops and displays an error message.
"An error occurred opening that folder on the FTP server.Make sure you have permission to access that folder."

The strange thing again is the user tried his home computer and unable to access the same ftp site. User said it worked before and then suddenly unable to access the site anymore.
We have cleared the "use passive ftp for FW and DSL "in Internet explorer, checked for any software that may be blocking it as well as have the ftp site owners check permissions and even create a new account, no avail.

Not at all, can not log in on and off VPN.

Perhaps you have a local firewall? Can you log on from a different site / ISP?
