Hello

I have just installed SPPS 2003 on Win2003. SQL2000 SP3 already resides on the box and I requested to use this rather than msde during the install.

When the install completes I am told that FarmDatabase.aspx will launch so I can connect to the SPPS database. IE launches and I am prompted for username/password. I am logged on as Domain Admin - however I resupply these credentials several times until I am informed that "You do not have permission to view this page".

The only setting I have altered is the Application Pool is IIS as this was showing invalid and the Web wouldn't start. I changed this to Default and the web started. The web is set to use Integrated auth and as Domain Admin I have the neccessary NFTS permissions for the web.

Any ideas?!

Thanks

Jem

Hi,

I have the same problem. Does anyone has a solution yet?

Hi Bambih

Further investigation showed that the installation hadn't completed - god only knows why as there were no errors etc. There should be, for instance, two SPPS Application Pools created in IIS which weren't. I did a bottom up reinstall and everything went fine the second time. I have seen other posts on eg Technet with the same issue - but no one coming back with any answers!
