Hi all,

Just recently something bizarre has occured in event viewer. I see to be able to access the security log but no other logs in event viewer? I googled it and found that evidence had pointed to a guest account members. Namely domain users being a member of a guest account. I removed the neccessary members, rebooted...and no luck.

On the tech website, they suggested I try modifying users and groups in computer management..strange thing abain is..I simply cannot see it or access it!...I'm logging into the server with the enterprise admin account.

Does anyone have anyideas? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Drakul.

Check the security properties of the actual log files. The default location is %systemroot%\system32\config , the defualt name of the system file is SysEvent.Evt and the default application log name is AppEvent.evt. Verify you have the proper security to read those files.

login as a different user with admin rights to check

i have seen this before - and it was account related
cant for the life of be remeber what id did - i rwead all the stuff you are reading and it was all crap
