Below is a part of the extension directory report. Is there a way to tell if I have 5 available ports for some new stations? I am thinking the 7xxx station might be available. Do all ports automatically get assigned to dummy stations?

thanks

This won't show if a port is used, only that it is renumbered from the default 7XXX extension or if it is labeled. Looking at the system to see if somethnig is plugged into the port is a little help, BUT you still don't know if something is at the far end. The only way you can really know is to do a physical phone count, and check the tally against the printout you posted. If you are on a Magix and you have WinSPM, you can do a station responding test, and see if something is at the far end, but a physical phone count is probably faster. On your printout, you only look at the higher numbered slots, so maybe there is something at the lower (left side) end of the system.
