We have an Excel Spreadsheet that is "Protected" (or locked I guess...my dad locked it and can't remember the password) and Im just trying to figure out if there is a way to unlock it, or get to the formulas without having to know the password...or if there is a way to find the password so he can get to the formulas...this is very urgent!! so if anyone has any ideas...please respond!! thanks a whole bunch!!

If the content of the sheet is protected, just select the cells, copy and paste them to a new worksheet. Unfortunatly, you can't simply create a copy of the worksheet since the protection will follow the sheet. This should bring in all of the values and formulas. Hope this helps!

The other option is to take a look at password cracking software (there are many sites that allow you to "try before you buy" their software which will crack the password for you).

A little unethical perhaps, but if this is a one shot deal then you could go down that route.

If you are used to passwording spreadsheets, word docs etc, I would invest in some software like this (and I have!). They don't cost much and save a bunch of time too.
