UM8500 w/ Exchange 2010

Has anyone encountered this problem yet?
We moved some mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010, now UM8500 will not recognize the mailboxes. Message waiting lights will not update and users cannot access voicemail via their phone.

Vendor recommended upgrade to UM8700. Are there any tips/work arounds to let users connect to VM vial phone?

We ran into similar issues with Exchange 2003 to 2010 upgrades. Exchange is very different between the two versions. 2010 changes permissions and locks out users. It took our MS expert several days to iron it all out, with help from MS and AVST. Unfortunately I cannot give you specifics because almost every installation of exchange can be different. Your IT guy has to work it out.
 
It is my understanding that UM8500 does not support Exchange 2010 and that you'll need to upgrade to UM8700 (which is the AVST platform).
 
thanks guys. we went voicemail only on the 8500 and have ordered the 8700.
