Hi all...

We're running an NEC SV8100 with UM8000 for voicemail. I installed an update (v11.10.0.45) a few weeks ago, but since, things have been acting strange (in a bad way). Since I have the previous version in the update screen still, would it be ok to go back to the stable version simply by choosing the install option on the update screen?

Since the update, I've had to restart the VM a handful of times, and when I make changes, I receive an error that it didn't make the change even though it actually made the change.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...we're not phone pros, but can manuover around fairly well in the NEC system(s).

Thanks in advance,

Apparently nobody has had to do that, therefore nobody will tell you yes or no on loading an older software. You can probably do it without issues, but the bigger question is why is your system acting up. The upgrade should not have caused any issues.

When I make changes, I receive an error that it didn't make the change even though it actually made the change.

This may have to do with java. Make sure you have the latest version and use an older PC. Java and WIN 10 do not get along. In fact, WIN 10 does not support Java anymore.

If your issues continue, I suggest calling in your vendor. They may still be able to get some support from NEC. The SV8100 is discontinued.

Thanks Belvie [glasses],

All good points. I appreciate the response.
