Hi everyone,

I'm currently trying to set-up UltraVNC (It's a remote access program) but the instructions on the website of how to set-up the program are very vague and as of yet despite numerous variations of settings etc I have had no luck in getting it working.

Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated :)

Thanks in advance

Paul

It is a next, next, next type install then install default reg settings then set the default password to something that isn't blank.

Don't forget to except it through the firewall or you'll not connect.

Thanks Zelandakh. In order for me to access another computer in a different office do they need to have the server installed and do I need to send them my settings, if so how do I do this?

Yes they need the server installed. Your settings are irrelevant. Suggest you read the document.

Thanks a million guys, just got it working :) although I have to connect to our server first in order to connect to an actual desktop in the office, is there anyway around this?

If you have one way in such as a router to that office and the router can only point at one machine for the VNC port then you'd need to RDP into that server then VNCviewer to the desktop in question - there's no way around that.

Unless of course you have a site to site VPN then you just vncviewer directly to the desktop.
