downloaded thislast night as a recommend from a friend via C Net but since then my homepage has been hi jacked by

and hijackthis is blocked by the little so and so!!!!!

Anyone heard any nasties about this app?
Anyone recommend a good, free pop up stopper???

Only other changes are

Norton 2005 reomved and replaced with

AVG and Zone Alarm

I've found that the built in popup blocker in XP gets most of them. If you aren't running XP, please say what OS your PC is running.

By "Hijackthis is blocked" I assume you mean the website to download it, try and see if you can get to it via

User reviews here suggest that the home page hijack is standard with this application.
From memory the Google toolbar is quite effective at blocking popups(assuming the IE popup-blocker isn't working out for you.

I wouldn't be to concerned about blocking Pop-Ups at this point. First things first, clean off the infection from your system.

Can you run any applications to clear off the infection?

Does it have a customization option that would allow you to exclude hijackthis from being blocked by it?

You could try finding and deleting its folder.

Sorry I am on XP.
I have removed the thing as aquias says "remove the infection" and I agree 100% with that!
I'll try the XP blocker or Google!!
I got to Hi Jack this by shutting it down but then deleted it anyway!
