I have developed an Approach database, in the UK, using Lotus Approach Millenium edition. This version came supplied with my PC.
When my client attempts to use the application, his version of Approach tells him that the database is in the incorrect format(US) and needs converting to UK and connot be used.
I have searched Approach and the only place I can find a choice between US & UK is in the spelling checker. There is no option that I can see at installation time to differentiate between US & UK versions.

Can anybody offer any hints, please?

David Monteith-Hodge

The other place to check is in your Windows Control Panel - Regional Settings, where language, etc is controlled.

I had this problem too - but it wasn't solved by using the control panel! The problem was that win95 regards the UK as United Kingdom and win98 regards the UK as british (it may have been the other way round). I could solve all by making all US (It's United Staes on both systems) but ultimately the only way to have UK dates etc etc was to upgrade all to win98! This is a dreadful state of affairs but I can't pin down whether it is Lotus (for not being more flexible) or Microsoft (for changing the UK gaolposts) who is to blame!

Hope this helps
