I'm developing a little shopping site for a UK company and due to hosting/bandwidth costs I am currently planning to host it on a US based server.
It will have a .co.uk domain name (and a .com too) pointing at it.

My question is will this adversely effect UK based SERPS? Since it's a UK only shopping site I'm concerned that it might become an issue.

My own site is a .com and has until recently been hosted in the UK. It ranks OK for what I want it to considering the minimal effort I put into it.
I've moved it to the US server too and not seen any negative impact yet though it's only been a couple of weeks.

Hmm, now that is interesting as it is what I was worried about.
But if that is the case then how come my personal site, a .com, which was hosted in the UK but now in the US doesn't seem to have suffered in Google's SERPS (yet). Maybe I still have a suprise to come!
