Does anyone have a sample of how to change this file so that it will pick up the font that you select in Oracle reports.
I have a report and the printer we have again is the Tally T6100/6101 and I can see the fonts in the drop down in the report builder and in the previewer and when I do a select all and put everything to Tally Data Processing (10cpi) and run the report the font obviously is not what I just selected and when I click back on the previewer of the report or back in the regular layout the font is back to Arial Unicode MS. I went into this file and everywhere it said Arial, Courier or anything I put it = 'Tally Data Processing (10cpi)'.
This is the same report I have been working on for weeks trying to get it to accept the printer definition for 8 lines per inch which I never could get to work so I gave up on that and just made the report scrunch the fields as small as I could so they could fit.
Anyway, we also had a report today that was 347 pages long and usually in the old system using the same printer the old system was dos based, it would print so fast that you could not stand over the printer and read the lines as they were printing now it is so slow. I don't know how to get Oracle to recognize the fonts and so if anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate it. I went to the forum on Oracle metalink and it doesn't tell me anything that I am not already reading which is set the font to what you want but maybe I am not setting it to the right name I don't know. Help PLEASE!!!
