UI Editor (newbie question)

Hello,
I just switched jobs from all MS house to all Java/Oracle house. I'm attempting to use the UI Editor in JDeveloper 9.0.2.822. Is there a way I can just drag the components/containers around and position them the way that I want. As of right now, I'm struggling to set the gui up the way that I want it. Thanks in advance!

It is probably an issue with the type of layout of your frame.
Check the layout property of the Frame in the property inspector in JDeveloper and switch it to be XYLayout.

This is not a JDev specific issue but rather a Java Swing issue.
