Actually this is not an ADOBE problem, it`s a scanning problem. I have a Plustek Optic Pro Scanner which WAS excellent...always got colours perfectly.

However lately i`ve been noticing vertical lines along scanned images. I was told these are caused by dust particles on the mirrors inside, so I opened it and cleaned it. Where mirrors where unreachable I used compressed air. However the lines are still there. Even when scanning in grayscale.

Please give a look at one of my photos on
Some info about the scanner can be found on
To my disbelief I asked Plustek about this problem some months ago but never had a reply!! I`ll try once again.

Thank you all in advance for your time.

Dust is usually the first suspect, because it restricts light reaching the sensor at a particular point. As the sensor moves, all points along that line are affected, resulting in a line. However, it's possible the sensor itself is damaged at that point. It could be a scratch, or a failing CCD. Either way, it may be difficult to fix yourself, so hopefully it's still under warranty.

Hi Thanks...no it`s not! 3 2 years old! Warranty was for 6 months only!
