Hi All
I have a server move approaching and would like to run a thorough backup on all the servers. I am a little concerned about using CPIO alone, being that its just a flat filesystem backup - and there would be a lot of ground work in restoring a box if it fails completely.
In Solaris, and I believe linux, there is a ufsdump command - is there a similar command in SCO for its filesystem type EAFS (boot) and HTFS? Is there a GNU rpm that will compile under SCO that someone has used and tested before?
My current stategy is to make sure I have specific boot and roots for all the servers, and then tape backups of all the filesystems. Unfortunately, I cannot use a network backup strategy due to disk space constraints on all the servers.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
