Hi,
been trying to do overnight cronjob as follows to allow multiple tape spanning, using the l option to ufsdump: - something like the following:
ufsdump 0usdbfl 6000 54000 126 /dev/rmt/0n /info
ufsdump 0usdbfl 6000 54000 126 /dev/rmt/0n /opt
ufsdump 0usdbfl 6000 54000 126 /dev/rmt/0 /export/home
I get no complaints in the results but some partitions, ie /info, are missing any content whilst other partitions are fine. Doesn't seem to matter if they were on volume 1 or 2.
Help! is there something obvious wrong with this, it claims to load volume 2 correctly. Do I need to NOT rewind the final backup?
specs: Sun Ultra 5 with Solaris 5.8 and StorEdge autoload tape drive.
thanks,
alun
