UDP tcpview inconsistent?

running eudora 5.2.1 on w2k_sp4. when I check the port useage with sysinternals tcpview, sometimes, like now, eudora appears with a UDP connection ususally to a port above 1056, other times, eudora can be running and collecting and send mail but it does not appear connected to any port in tcpview. I would say it's about 50/50, perhaps more than 50% not reported in tcpview. I assume when I do not specificially see it, that it is running under "system." I cannot tell from anything running on the box what the difference might be. should eudora always appear, never appear, or do what it's doing here, sometimes you see it, sometimes you don't ?
