UDA-QOS-0006 error when using BETWEEN operator

I'm trying to create a filter to only show accounts with specific activity between a certain date range. No matter what date format I use I keep getting an error that reads: UDA-EE-0094 The operation "greater_equal" is invalid for the following combination of data types: "timestamp2" and "character." As far as I can tell we have no data type of "timestamp2."
I'm using Cognos 8 Report Studio. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
