UCx50 Hotel/Motel

Folks, has anyone installed a UCx50 in a Hotel/Motel application please? If so, what success have you had? I have a customer that has had it with an old Mitel system and is having service/customer relation problems with the vendor. They asked us if we could help.

While it's a conversion of a M1 into a UCx you can achieve the same results with using Nortel 1140E/1120E sets in the rooms and offices if you want to go all IP, or you can go with the IP sets in the offices and analog sets in the rooms. The coolest hotel I ever stayed in had 2 1120Es in each room at the JW Marriott in Grand Rapids, MI.

I recommend the Nortel phones becasue the Emetrotel guys made the 1100 series (i2000 and 1200) work with an amazing amount of features on he UCx. And they are the guys who designed these phones while at Nortel.

Only recommendation to Enetrotel is to emulate a 2250 console on an 1140E with KEM.

Make sure you check out the UCx's Hospitality application. The PMS interface is awesome and has been certified by all of the top PMS providers. I haven't installed one yet but I did get to demo the application and it was pretty impressive.
