Folks, I have a customer with a UCx50, who is using Norstar 7316e and 7310 phones. The problem is that whenever they try a voice call, the receiving phone becomes muted immediately, causing the sender to not hear an answer-back. Suggestions please?

That is a security measure to disallow eavesdropping. With this option enabled, the receiving user must unmute the phone to allow the caller to hear him/her.

You can change this behavior by going to Nortel Settings and changing the option "Phone State After Auto-answer".

Thanks Big Guy! I can always rely on your advice!
