UCX 20 Reset?

Hi everyone,

I've been using a UCx20 in my home for a few months. It's a wonderful system. However recently I have been unable to start Asterisk, due to "segmentation fault" errors. I've been unable to fix this so at the moment the UCx is kind of a paper weight. Is there any way to start fresh?

What software release do you have? Have you updated the software recently?

My recommendation is to contact E-MetroTel support and report the problem. If the reason is corruption of the executable file, they can reinstall the package that contains that file. If the reason is a software bug, they can find the cause and fix it.
 
Did you resolve your segfaults?
If not could you provide log info on a recent segfault.
As ucxguy asked, What software release do you have? Have you updated the software recently?
Segfaults only on start up?
Are you using analog card for PSTN lines? If so reseat the card.
Reseat memory.
 
I ended up sending my UCx back to Emetrotel. They reinstalled the software and re-imaged it so all is good now. :)
