Hello, all,

we want to activate/proof the UCS Desktop Client Standart/Premium (first time) on two of our Workplaces; as our vendor told us, the SW of this client was no longer supported and available ( i think ,only for UCP anymore); on our Mfim 300 it is possible, to activate 3 clients without licensing;
would be great helping us with this older SW, maybe also with some Hints/or manual to install.

regads, martin

UCS client is for UCP. For the LIK MFIM300 you neeed to use Phontage

Hello Thermus,

first of all, thank you for answeriing;

in our Mfim 300
MFIM/GS96M-F.1Dy SEP/17
Boot Version-2.1Aa NOV/12
Kernel Version-6.0Aq

i found this in admin system management (under Lock key install); for me it looks like
a possibility to install ucs; or was this only a feature, that was never active in Mfim?
PHONTAGE Basic : 3 Copy
Deluxe : 3 Copy
(2 copies free)
UCS Client DeskTop : 3 Copy
Mobile : 0 Copy

Annother question a last: for activating Phontage/UCS, can i write in any type of key in the value field under System lock key install?
Thanks a lot

No, that's for the lock key from the manufacturer. I don't believe E-LG is supporting the MFIM any longer.

you can still get licenses . but its like only on a certain day . as i made a stink as we have some pretty big mfims out there still .

they arnt supporting the mfim in terms of doing any more software.

no you will have 3 out of the box with out the need for a license.

so you dont need to type anything in . you only put a lock key in when you get it generated by ELG .

and you will struggle to find the software for the desktop clients .

your best imo just being straight with the customer and just tell them you cannot get licenses any more and if they want you could just swap the mfim 300 out for a ucp 100 . you can license the system up to 200 ports .

this way they could re use the old handsets etc . and you will have all the features you want going forward .

Hello, nfcphoneman + martinhodge

thanks for reply + information; meanwhile i found some hints, that unfortunatly only eMG80/800 and UCP supports UCS clients - as Thermus commented.
