I'm looking for clarification on how to properly name a MAS server hosting UCA and the DNS entries required to access UCA both internally and externally.
MAS 5.0.116.0
DNS is split, internally UC.COMPANYNAME.com resolves to 10.0.0.55
When UCA client (Win7/Server2k8) is configured with MAS-INTERNAL-SERVER-NAME.COMPANY.int, the client is happy and connects without issue to the UCA server. All features work. If I change the UCA server FQDN configured within the client to UC.COMPANYNAME.com, this error shows up in the uca log:
Mitel.Communicator.Views.ViewModels.LoginViewModel - Error occurred testing credentials for USERNAME. Mitel.Communicator.WebServices.WebServiceException: Timeout while waiting for response from the web server. The server could be down or in the process of starting up.The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:00:14.9869987. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout. ---> System.TimeoutException: The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:00:14.9869987. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout. ---> System.TimeoutException: The HTTP request to ' has exceeded the allotted timeout of 00:00:15. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout. ---> System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed out
The interesting twist to this issue is that my boss has a Windows 8 tablet and his client is configured with UC.COMPANYNAME.com, everything works 100% for his client.
Is there anything on the server (MSL or UCA) that I should verify? UC Server Enterprise Domain??
