Hi Guys, was wondering if anyone has found any ways of getting UCA to dial from outlooks GAL, so far the only way I can find to do it is to export the GAL and then import it in to an outlook folder however this is a manual task and does not automatically update so not ideal.
My other idea which I have not tried yet so would be interested to hear if you have tried it is to create a dummy 3300 in the UC and then add an IP address and number to the GAL contact and sync it in to UC, Obviously I will get no presence but will still be able to search and dial the contact.
Im saying contact but as I write Im thinking it will have to be a user account and contacts will not work.
Any other automated suggestions welcomed.

Have you tried Importing the contacts from the Client? Thought it showed the Global Address List option in their? This is the method to get all your outlook contacts into UC. You can then set up a sync between it.

Failing that how about setting up an LDAP connector from the UCA server to either the exchange box or AD to get a Global Contacts list?

Importing contacts only looks locally at your outlook as far as Im aware, and this is only a one off import not a link to AD
The UCA has an LDAP connector to the domain controller but this will only show users with an IP address of a system and an Extn number.
