V_UCA 4 Server with clients on Windows(XP or 7)PC with MCD 4.2 and 5320 handsets all operating ok.

Issue is that, if a device is programmed as a Hotdesk User logged in to a device, they cannot answer a call using the UC pop up but can terminate the call or transfer ok. All other functionality is there except answer.

If the extn is assigned as a standard User & Device, the answer function works.

Any ideas?

I have my UCA working with hotdesking and can answer calls using the popup
I also have UCA 4 and MCD 4.2

I am thinking this maybe either a HCI issue or .Net issue

yup same here, hotdesk, MCD 4.2 and UCA 4. Works fine so don't think it's a bug at this point.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling?

could it be something to do with 'HCI/CTI/TAPI Call Control Allowed' in class of service?

@fissure
That is my thinking as well

@Supernova99 & fissure, HCI/CTI/TAPI Call Control & Monitor both allowed in COS and .net4 installed. I've found you can't install UCA client without it.

@mitelpassion, tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times to no avail.

I will dig a little deeper.
Thanks guys

I'm wondering if something might be wrong with the Cluster programming that is required to enable hotdesking whether it is in use or not. More Specifically, the CEID and Feature digits. Might there be a conflict with the digits for example?

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Check the digit length against the ICP and ensure it is set for the longest length you have in your system.

Thanks boycey9! That's the answer. The digit length field can be found under the PBX nodes tab in the UCA server manager interface. Many thanks!

Thanks boycey9. Same here, that fixed it. Good one.
