UCA 4.0 VMware Removing Chat Feature

Hi All,

Just installed UCA 4.0 in VMware with MCD 4.2 with 5330 handsets which was operating fine after install.

Customer asked to remove the UCA 'Chat' feature (in Licensed Features) which I found removes the DSS appearance of all handsets and status notification in UCA client s/w when client s/w is restarted. Accounts were synced from 3300MCD.

Allowing the Chat feature again in UCA server will then repopulate the client s/w DSS appearences and status notifications once client s/w restarted. Uninstall and reinstall of UCA client makes no difference.

Does anyone know a way to keep the DSS appearances of the handsets and status notifications in the client s/w but disallow the Chat feature.
