MSL 9.0

Clients go on line for about 30 seconds then go off line. This is a segregated voice / data network. No VLAN two cables to each desk. While client is on line can actually dial another ext using UCA.

FQDN is ok and can access server manager via server name and can download clients using full FQDN from the data network but cant from the voice network??

Checked and double checked 3300 config and UCA config, pretty sure it's ok.

I am not very network savvy and depend on customer network engineers for routing between voice and data networks.

MSL is configured with a DNS IP address provided to me and this is the same as the gateway IP address " a Fortigate router"

I believe that I should be able to access server manager and download client while connected just to the voice network but cant. I feel that this may be the issue.

Any advice or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

There have been a few posts exactly the same as this (one of which was my own) The fix that was suggested to me and worked was to re-install the MSL and UC server. I didn't believe this would make a difference but it did, and has down for others. Also for UC I didn't download the blades from the MSL, I downloaded the ISO instead. Not sure if that was the fix for me.

Floppy1,

I had the same issue. Installed it first off and worked flawlessly. Upgraded it via AMC and moved it to the Voice VLAN and the offline issue started. Moved it back to Data VLAN, still offline issue. Moved it back to Voice VLAN, uninstall/reinstall twice, first via AMC second via ISO before it stopped going offline. Now it is stable and working.
Thankfully I still have hair on my head after almost pulling it out.

My Rule of thumb.

Never install the first release of a Mitel application. It is always half done and full of bugs. I am a huge Mitel fan however I have experienced the above time and time again.

Knowledge is power, thats why we share!

Thanks both for the suggestion. Yes the reinstall did the trick.

FYI downloaded blade from AMC after reinstall of MSL and not from a ISO
