I have a customer that has an IP 500V2 on release 9.1.9.0 b182
They are running their VM Pro on a UC module.
Their email service is Office 365
They recently experienced a complete stop in their VM to email. According to their MSP, everything is getting caught in their proofpoint spam filter. Of course everyone claims that nothing has changed in the past few weeks.
So, the MSP rep I talked to asked for the IP that the wav. files and emails should be coming from. I know the IP of the 500v2 and of the UC module, but do the emails really originate there? He's trying to put exceptions in his filter and wants to know where these emails are being sent from. How exactly is VM to email accomplished?
Or, instead of an ip address does it have more to do with the domain names in the SMTP sender menu?
This is our only customer with a UC module so I am rather unfamiliar with them.
Any and all information regarding this issue would be appreciated. Thanks
