Hi

I have a UC Module upgarded to the 9.1.1 and installation went fine

Only trouble is when I try to log in with the root password which is Administration by default it always says that the password is wrong

Any ideas as Ive installed it twice and both installs have done the same

Thanks

Nick

It's not Administration

In trouble to be troubled, is to have your trouble doubled.

Thats what the documenation says?????

No it dosen't, try reading them again

Only you would know the root password as this is set during the ignition process.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Havent got passed the ignition stage yet.
Web browse to system on port 7071 and the username is root (which you cant change) and the default password is Administration (from page 71 on the pdf on UC module)

I have had the same thing happen to me when I tried to connect a 9.0.6.xxx over SCN with a 9.1.1.xxx system.

In my case, I had the 9.1.1.xxx with a UCM and went through the ignition, making darn sure I had written down the passwords (I am at the stage of life now where I trust my memory... not).

After reigniting the UC module, I was able to log in. The written password worked just fine. As soon as I connected to a 9.0.6.xxx system, via SCN it gave me the same trouble.

What you can do is connect to the Control Unit's DB9 connector, and with the terminal program of choice (I use putty) set the speed to 38400,8,N,1 and connect. Type ATH and you should get "OK".
Then type AT-SECURITYRESETALL. At this point you will have to MANUALLY enter the mac address displayed, and press return. The next time you connect you will be FORCED to change the password and see what that does.

Another possibility is to go to security settings (Manager->File->Advanced->SecuritySettings, and changing the password there.

The root password is set while installing and is not administrator!!!

I'd you do not know the root password then install again and pay attention.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
