3300 MCD 4.1
UC Express 3.0.
Flat network no Vlans.
PC has Windows XP SP3 and correct release .net

Does anyone know a fix for the issue where UC Express will not establish a connection to the phone. This only happens when the PC is working through phone it is linked with, i.e. it does not have a seperate connection back to the network.
Unplug the PC from the phone it is trying to link with and plug it into any other phone or network connection and it links up O.K.
Also had this issue on earlier versions of 3300 software.

Hi,

I've had this a lot, the PC cant ping the phone, so it cant establish its connection. The lyr2 switch in the phone is seen as 1 mac address and cant diferentiate between the 2 unique devices. Plugging the PC into a different phone is a work around or giving the PC/Phones their own network connection. Its answered in the UC Express FAQs.

I once had the same issue with Navigators. I had a CXi and was using the default vlan1 priority 6 in the dhcp options. once I removed that, it worked fine.

Gents,
After moving patching and network cables around I was left with 2 that still were not working.
After talking to colleagues they suggested checking / changing the NIC card "advaced settings" or checking the drivers were the latest.
I changed the qos option from disabled to enabled and both then worked.
Different nick cards have different options available depending on their make and age, apparently changing other options sometimes resolve the issue.
I know the answer is not very scientific or logical but it fixed my problem.
