Ubuntu distributions

I'd like to install Ubuntu. D/l'ed the Live CD, it "works" but hangs when I try to install to HD. Is there another non-Live distribution I can try to install from?

Or should I just install Debian?

Nevermind, I found a mirror with an alternate distro, looks like it'll work.

Good call, IMO Debian is a lot harder to install then Ubunutu (Kubuntu, Xubuntu). You are downloading Dapper right?
