Ubuntu 7.10 sample vm at logon prompt.. now what?

hello all-

I downloaded vmplayer and then a sample Ubuntu 7.10 vm.. it loads great and gets me to a logon prompt -no problem.

I am what appears to be a gui based Ubuntu logon screen and have no idea how to get in to try things with my vm.

The vmplayer loads it great but am stuck @ this logon prompt..

does anyone know what a default logon would be here just to get in? I have tried random things but no joy.

Any info here would be greatly appreciated.

Check the read me that came with the download. Also 7.10 is rather old, see if you can get at least 8.04 or newer.
