We have a site to site VPN that works great, except for one thing... When I open Outlook at the remote site it never connects to the mail server at the main site. I can ping the mail server and even remote desktop to the mail server. Also tried hitting the send and recieve button, that didnt work. Any ideas?

i'm assuming its exchange/outlook via mapi.
are you pinging the DNS FQDN?
is the computer a member of your AD Domain?
if its not exchange/outlook, can you try to telnet into the mailserver but over port 25?
you should be able to communicate with it over port 25 and 110

not sure exactly what you are saying, but i think i have figured it out. in my account in outlook it is set to look for CSIMail as the mail server. well if am at the remote site, which is not on on the domain, so it doesnt know what do do with CSMail. Do you know how to fix this?
