Hello,

I am looking for a recommendation of a typing tutor program to run on a Windows 98 PC.

I have looked at Keyboard Master which looks okay, but not outstanding.

It needs to be one which does not RELY on sound output as the PC is not, as yet, multimedia. It needs to be able to log several "students" progresss.

What ones are available? Which ones are good? Is there somewhere I can trial the programs before purchase?

Regards,
Jay

Mavis has become a classic but I think it's just for a single user. You may want to contact the typing/keyboard teachers at local high schools to find out what they use and the advantages/problems of the software.

Personally, I do not "type". Using my own method, I now hit the correct keystrokes at about 50-60 WPM. Because I have no repetitive motion or rigid hand placement, I won't develop carpel tunnel syndrome - and I don't get "typecast" as the secretary for organizations!
