Typing issue in VBA coding window 1

I have a good one for everyone.

I have a database that, when I try to type in a VBA coding window, it treats the space as a carriage return without a line feed. Meaning this. If I type a statement and then a space (i.e. 'IF '), it back spaces to the end of the statement and turns it red as if I hit enter, but I do not get a new line.

It only occurs on this one database and my local copy did not have this problem until I copied the one over it that did have the problem (to see if it was a machine issue or a db issue).

I checked the autocorrect and such and could not find anything to indicate what might cause this.

Thanks

Do you have any forms running that have an on timer event?

The on timer trigger will cause that.

That was it. How did you know this?

I guess I disabled that in my local version but never made that change company wide for some reason. I have disabled it again and this time it will be company wide.

Thanks much and have a star :)

Thanks.

I knew about this because I have several apps with on timer events, and they do that to me.
