I have a client that uses Windows 2000 Pro (with all updates) and Outlook Express 6.
There is no prompt for password at Windows bootup.
Each time he opens Outlook Express to check email, it prompts him to enter the email server password. At that time, the checkbox for "Remember password" is checked, but also "ghosted" so that no change can be made (it cannot be manually checked or unchecked). The email is retrieved successfully, but next time OE is opened, the password is not remembered and must be entered again manually.
I have a feeling this has something to do with the bootup login (or lack of login) but am not sure what to change in order to fix it. Thanks for any suggestions.
