typing font name 1

Some of my fonts won't change the type when their name is typed in. I have to scroll through the list then hit enter as opposed to typing the first few letters of the font and then hitting enter.

Any ideas?

Its the same fonts all the time (not random)

That's because they all have variations like bold, italic. You would have to type in the whole name asaclty as AI lists it - Helvetica Neue Light Extended Italic, etc.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

For a lot of fonts, that's NOT the case. I think acevans is stumbling on those fonts, as have I: Usually, when you start typing a font name in, as soon as it finds a match it will go to that font, but for some fonts it just doesn't work.
