Can anyone help - When I switch my CS2 doc from Typical to High Quality Display my jpg images disappear! Do I have to import all the images again, or is there an easier way to switch and see and work with them in High Quality Display?
Any suggestion gratefully appreciated.
Colin.

...what does your "preferences > display performance" settings indicate for high quality display?

...when you say dissappear, do you mean they grey out (as would happen on low quality setting)?

...go back to typical and right click one image and change it to high quality, does it still disappear?...if so then it's quite possible the images are have corrupt previews...

...try saving one image into tif or psd format instead and test again.

...if all above fails, then also try deleting indesign preference files:

...if you do end up having to relink the images, you can use the links palette to update missing links one by one with the new saved images...

...try resaving them as jpeg formats so the names are the same, overwrite the old ones...

...indesign will know they have been modified outside of indesign, so when you reopen the indesign file they should automatically update as modified links in the links palette...all you do then is shift click them in the list and click on update button bottom of the links palette.
