We have 2 type trees where we need to extract out the current edits that are in place. Nobody kept track of the changes that were implemented, now we need to know exactly what the validation map is doing. I know I can run compares between trees to show differences (compare out of the box level 2 map to the map that is in production) but there has to be a better way. Is there any way to export the rules to XML, etc? Thanks

Not sure what you want to compare, trees or maps?
Nevertheless you can export both type trees and maps to XML and then diff them using either a normal text diff or (recommended) a specialized XML diff as found e.g. in XML Spy or Stylus Studio.

Depending on your version you will need a patch for the type tree exporter as it will otherwise discard include/exclude rules during export what in consequence would distort the comparison.
