OK, I'll own up here - I have no idea about VB. Someone has asked me to install some software. They have lost the install files, but know which files the VB app installs, various .ocx, .dll etc. However, there are some .tlb which I have not come accross before. After some digging about, it would appear that the install program did a tlbregister.

Now, I can register .dll, .ocx etc, but how do yoy register a .tlb without using VB to recreate the install.exe?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Use the regsvr32.exe command in the command console. Your would simply type Regsvr32 SomeName.tlb - Jeff Marler B-)

copy the files in a floppy which u want to install from a existing meachine

abd execute the RUN in the start menu

in that

type Regsvr32 A:/urfilename.tlb

one by one

after u done this restart ur mech.
thats all
