Hello All: I need to know what would be a suitable phone to use in a call center scenario. I am trying to use the I2004 with a Plantronics CS50 wireless headset and handset lifter. Because of the angle of the phone set, the handset lifter is an issue. If anyone is using a Nortel IP phone and it has to be an IP phone, out there I would like to know what it is and how good it is working. These ladies get up a lot, spend large amounts of time at map layouts and also need to be able to answer via the headset and not only the phone. They are being forced into an ACD situation by regulations.

Thanks in advance and Happy New Year to all

The I2004 works fine as a call centre phone. It has a dedicated headset connector so a handset lifter is not always necessary. I guess your problem is because you people need to answer the phone via the headset. You could force feed the agents to get over this problem.

Have you tried setting the set to the off hook path of headset and plugging into the headset jack instead of the handset?

I2005 would also work good no handset to worry about.
